These terms cover Shepherd, the macOS app, and the Shepherd Build Kit, sold by Diego Peralta, Berlin, Germany ("we"). By downloading or buying either you agree to them.

Price and use

• You choose what Shepherd costs before you download it: $0, a post on X that links to tryshepherd.xyz, or a one-time payment of up to $14.99. Every option gets the same app. There is no subscription and no license key.
• You may use Shepherd on any Macs you use yourself, and install the updates we release.
• You may not resell or redistribute the app; point people to tryshepherd.xyz instead.

The Shepherd Build Kit

• The Build Kit is a downloadable package of documents, schemas, fixtures, prompts, examples and design assets for building your own Shepherd with a coding agent. It costs $19 once. It is not the Shepherd app.
• What you may do with it is set out in LICENSE.md, included in the download. In short: you may use and modify the kit and build, use and sell software with it, including commercially. You may not resell or republish the kit itself, or ship what you build under the Shepherd name or icon.
• You get the version you buy. We may offer later versions separately or as free updates.
• Your download link comes from the purchase confirmation and works whenever you need a fresh copy.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in US dollars; your card issuer may convert them. Applicable taxes are added at checkout where required.

Refunds

You can get a full refund within 30 days of buying the app or the Build Kit; see Refunds. A refunded Build Kit's download link stops working; the app keeps working.

Right of withdrawal (EU)

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days. Our 30-day money-back guarantee goes further: ask within 30 days and you get a full refund, whatever the reason.

Software provided as is

Shepherd works alongside Herdr and your coding agents, which we don't control. We don't guarantee it works with every setup or without interruption. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages; our liability for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health is unaffected.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the version on this page applies. German law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence.
